Spaceball

Spaceball is a server-wide PvP event fought in the Sector X arena. Three factions — NOVA, HELIOS and ORION — fight to push a single invulnerable ball into their own exit portal. Every goal scatters reward boxes, and the faction with the most goals wins a temporary reward bonus.

Spaceball runs as a timed, server-wide event. When it starts, a global notification fires — “Spaceball started! Head to Sector X.” — and the ball appears at the centre of Sector X. A match lasts 60 minutes.

There is no sign-up. Sector X is an open PvP map (minimum level 10); just fly in with any of the three factions, lock onto the ball and start firing. Players from every faction can take part at the same time.

  • A single ball spawns at the arena centre. It is invulnerable — you can’t destroy it. Your fire doesn’t damage it; instead it counts as your faction pushing the ball.
  • Each faction pushes toward its own exit portal — the gate to its fifth map: NOVA-5 for NOVA, HELIOS-5 for HELIOS, ORION-5 for ORION.
  • Many times per second the server counts, for each faction, the players who are locked onto the ball and actively firing within range. The faction with the most is the dominant faction, and the ball moves toward that faction’s portal.
  • If two or more factions tie for the lead — or nobody is pushing — the ball stops.
  • When the ball gets within 200 of a faction’s portal, that faction scores a goal: the score increases, reward boxes scatter around the portal, and the ball resets to the centre.
  • When the timer runs out, the faction with the most goals wins. An equal top score (or no goals at all) means no winner.

The ball does not speed up over time. Its speed depends on how many of the dominant faction’s ships are actively pushing it — more attackers, faster ball.

Below the first tier (no one pushing), or whenever two factions are tied, the ball holds position. Only the dominant faction’s attacker count sets the speed.

Every goal scatters 20 reward boxes around the scoring portal. The boxes are not faction-locked — expect a PvP scramble to grab them before they despawn. Each box gives one reward from the pool below; the amount is a random value in the listed range.

When the match ends, the winning faction receives a ×3 reward multiplier on all NPC and PvP kill rewards for 60 minutes. It applies to every member of that faction who is online or logs in during the bonus window. The bonus does not apply inside Raids. If the match ends in a tie — or with no goals scored — no bonus is awarded.
