NPCs are the alien ships that fill the galaxy: you farm them for ore and currency, and they serve as quest targets. Every value below comes from live game data — click a currency in the rewards to see what it is.
Each NPC is either aggressive (attacks on sight when you get close) or passive (only fights back when shot). As they get stronger, their hull, shield, damage and rewards grow; most species also have a tougher Elite variant and an even stronger Commander variant (Commanders roam Sector Y and drop Antimatter). On death they drop Credits, Experience, Honor and Red Matter, plus ore. Values can change with game balancing.
