Getting Started
Welcome aboard, pilot. This page exists so you don’t waste your first hours: what to do, how to earn, and what to upgrade into. Values may change with balancing — every stat on these pages comes from live game data.
The First 10 Minutes
Section titled “The First 10 Minutes”You start in your faction’s first-zone map flying the starter ship, Origin. The core loop is simple:
- Hunt NPCs — your first target is the Kryll: the weakest alien, and passive (it won’t attack unless you shoot first). Starter maps are full of them.
- Collect the rewards — every kill pays Credits, Experience, Honor and Red Matter; most NPCs also drop ore.
- Return to base, sell, refit — sell your ore at the base and put the earnings into better gear.
How to Earn
Section titled “How to Earn”| Route | What to do | Details |
|---|---|---|
| NPC hunting | Hunt aliens that match your level | NPCs — rewards and ore drops per NPC |
| Ore | Collect NPC drops, sell at base; refine to raise the value | Resources |
| Quests | Complete main and daily quests | Quests |
| Boxes | Grab Bonus Boxes that spawn on the maps | Boxes |
| Events | Spaceball, Antimatter Rush, NYX and Pyro Titan | Events |
What each currency is for (Credits, Red Matter, Celestium, …) is covered on the Economy page.
The Ship Upgrade Path
Section titled “The Ship Upgrade Path”As you earn, you move into stronger hulls. Base ships are bought with two currencies — the Credits path is steady progression, the Red Matter path is the hunter line. Costs come from live game data; see Ships for full stats.
Equipment Basics
Section titled “Equipment Basics”Your ship carries four kinds of gear; slot counts differ per hull:
- Weapons — lasers mount into weapon slots and consume ammo. A laser without ammo doesn’t fire — LAP-1 is the basic round, keep it stocked.
- Generators — shield (SHG) and speed (SPG) generators. Shields are the layer that melts before your hull takes damage.
- Drones — escort units that fly with you and add firepower.
- Extras — passive bonuses and active CPU modules.
Equipment is classed by tier colors: blue → green → orange → purple. Higher tiers are always better but cost more — a tier-1/2 mix is fine at the start.
Map Safety
Section titled “Map Safety”The galaxy splits into three faction territories (HELIOS / NOVA / ORION) plus neutral sectors:
- Your home zone (x-1 / x-2) — your first-zone map has no level requirement; deeper zones do. On your faction’s first two maps same-faction combat is fully disabled, and enemy players can only attack you if you start the fight (cease fire and take no damage for 10 seconds and your protection returns). Details: Maps → Home Zone Protection.
- Enemy territories — entry is level-gated and you are open to attack there. Stay away at low levels.
- Sector X / Sector Y / Pyro — full-PvP neutral sectors: everyone can attack everyone. High rewards, high risk. Entry levels and each map’s NPC list are on the Maps page.
Progression
Section titled “Progression”Hunting earns Experience (level) and Honor; both feed Rank Points, which set your rank. See Ranks for the rank table and scoring, and Quests for the chain that unlocks as you level.
