Resources

Resources (ore) are the galaxy’s basic raw material. You collect them from cargo boxes dropped by destroyed enemies, turn them into more valuable ore at the refinery, convert them into weapon/shield/speed bonuses via enrichment, or sell them for Credits. There are nine ore types; the least valuable is Iron and the most valuable is Antimatter.

Each ore has a value rank (the # order on its card): if your cargo fills up while collecting, the game takes the most valuable ore first. Values come from live game data; click the currency on a sell price to see what it is.

Iron #9

Iron

The most common base ore. Low value on its own, but combined with Copper it refines into Titanium.

Copper #8

Copper

A common base ore. Refines into Titanium together with Iron.

Silver #7

Silver

A common base ore. Combined with Gold it refines into Uranium.

Gold #6

Gold

A common base ore. Refines into Uranium together with Silver.

Titanium #5

Titanium

A mid-tier refined ore (from Iron + Copper). Enriches lasers and rockets, and is itself a refine input for Plutonium and Tritium.

Uranium #4

Uranium

A mid-tier refined ore (from Silver + Gold). Enriches shield and speed, and is a refine input for Plutonium and Tritium.

Plutonium #3

Plutonium

A high-tier refined ore (from Titanium + Uranium). Sells high and enriches lasers and rockets strongly.

Tritium #2

Tritium

A high-tier refined ore (from Titanium + Uranium). Sells high and enriches shield and speed strongly.

Antimatter #1

Antimatter

The rarest and most valuable ore — it cannot be sold for credits. Dropped only by the toughest enemies, it grants the strongest enrichment and can be banked into antimatter storage.

  • NPC drops: When you destroy alien/NPC ships, a cargo box is left behind. Fly up to it and collect it to move its ore into your ship. You can see which NPC drops which ore on the NPCs page.
  • Cargo capacity: Your ship only carries as much ore as its capacity allows. A box is emptied starting with the most valuable ore that fits the remaining free space; if you run out of space, the rest stays in the box and can be collected later.
  • Loss on death: When you are destroyed, you scatter 10% of the ore in your cargo into space, where you or other players can pick it up.
  • Antimatter drops only from the toughest enemies (boss class) — it cannot be produced by refining like ordinary ore.

Ore is sold for Credits from the Resource Trading panel. Sell prices (per unit):

Antimatter— (not sellable)

Selling conditions:

  • While at your base you can sell all of your ore.
  • With a Premium membership you can sell anywhere — no need to return to base.
  • Antimatter cannot be sold. Instead it is transferred between ship ↔ storage (see below).

The refinery combines cheap ore to produce more valuable ore. The manual refinery is open to all players; the recipes are:

Iron 10 Iron + Copper 10 Copper
Titanium 1 Titanium
Silver 10 Silver + Gold 10 Gold
Uranium 1 Uranium
Titanium 10 Titanium + Uranium 10 Uranium
Plutonium 1 Plutonium
Titanium 10 Titanium + Uranium 10 Uranium
Tritium 1 Tritium

So Titanium and Uranium are mid-tier products (made from base ore), which then feed into the high-tier products Plutonium and Tritium.

A Premium membership unlocks the Auto-Refinery CPU: the ore you collect is refined automatically. The formula the server applies runs in this order every time cargo is collected:

Iron 10 Iron + Copper 10 Copper
Titanium 1 Titanium
Silver 10 Silver + Gold 10 Gold
Uranium 1 Uranium
Titanium 20 Titanium + Uranium 20 Uranium
Plutonium 1 Plutonium + Tritium 1 Tritium

In the third step, every 20 Titanium + 20 Uranium produces 1 Plutonium + 1 Tritium in an even split. This lets premium players turn mining into value without refining by hand.

Enrichment spends ore to load a temporary combat bonus onto your ship. You apply an ore to one of four categories — Laser, Rocket, Shield or Speed — and that category’s percentage bonus activates. The more valuable the ore, the bigger the bonus:

Ore LaserRocketShieldSpeed
Titanium Titanium +10% +10%
Uranium Uranium +7.5% +5%
Plutonium Plutonium +20% +20%
Tritium Tritium +20% +20%
Antimatter Antimatter +40% +40% +40%

How it works:

  • Laser / Rocket are shot-based: 1 ore = 10 shots of boost. The bonus adds to your damage only for those shots, then runs out.
  • Shield / Speed are time-based: 1 ore = 1 minute of boost. The effect ends when the timer expires.
  • Combat cap: The bonus enrichment adds to damage is capped at 50% in combat; so Antimatter’s 40% applies in full, but bonuses cannot exceed this cap.
  • Antimatter gives the strongest enrichment (40% to Laser/Rocket/Shield) — which is why most players keep it for enrichment rather than selling it.

Antimatter is the rarest and most valuable ore in the game. It differs from the others:

  • Acquisition: It only comes from the toughest enemies’ (boss class) drops. It cannot be produced by refining.
  • Not sellable: It has no Credits sale; its value is in its use.
  • Use: It is the strongest enrichment source (40% boost to Laser/Rocket/Shield).
  • Transfer & storage: You can move the antimatter on your ship into safe antimatter storage and pull it back out again. When taking it from storage to your ship, only as much as your ship’s free cargo space fits. Like selling, transfer happens at your base or, with Premium, anywhere.

Note: Antimatter also exists as a premium currency (bought in packs, spent on research, etc.). For the currency side, see the Economy page.
